Services we offer
Four streams of support for veterans at home
Each stream can be delivered on its own or combined into one coordinated plan managed by the same local team.
1. Nursing care
Wound and pressure care, medication management and administration, injections, catheter and stoma care, PEG feeding, diabetes and chronic condition monitoring, post-hospital recovery and clinical documentation shared with your GP.
2. Personal care
Showering and bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, oral and skin care, continence support, mobility and transfer assistance, and help with morning or evening routines — always at your pace.
3. Domestic assistance
Vacuuming, mopping, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, laundry and linen changes, meal preparation, grocery shopping and general tidying so your home stays safe and comfortable.
4. Community access
Transport and accompaniment to doctors' appointments, specialists, pathology, pharmacy, banking, shopping, social clubs and veteran gatherings, including support while you are there.
Respect for your service
Care that fits the way you live
Many veterans tell us they would rather manage alone than have strangers rotating through the house. We keep teams small and consistent, introduce carers before they start, and write the plan around your routine rather than ours.
Because Loving Hands Care is nurse-founded, clinical oversight is not outsourced. A registered nurse assesses you at home, trains the carers on your plan, monitors wounds and medications, and coordinates with your GP, DVA and any hospital team involved.
Partners and carers are supported too. If you also need aged care support, see our aged care services, or read more about our clinical community nursing and in-home care options.

Getting started
How to arrange DVA services
We handle the paperwork with DVA so you can focus on getting the right support.
1. Call our intake team
Tell us about your card type, health needs and any GP or hospital referral already in place.
2. Entitlement check
We confirm your DVA eligibility and funding stream before any service begins — no surprises.
3. Nurse assessment at home
A registered nurse assesses your clinical, personal care and household needs and writes the plan.
4. Services start
Your matched nurse and carers begin visits on an agreed schedule, with regular clinical review.
