What your MTA stay includes
MTA is more than a bed. Every stay bundles accommodation with the daily supports you would receive at home, so your goals and health keep moving forward.
Furnished, accessible room
A private room in a comfortable home with utilities, linen and accessible bathroom access arranged before you arrive.
Daily living and personal care
Showering, dressing, continence support, meal preparation, laundry and household tasks by workers matched to you.
Clinical and medication support
Registered nurse assessment, medication management and high-intensity supports such as wound, catheter or PEG care.
Transport and appointments
Getting to specialists, allied health, therapy, work, study and family visits during your stay.
Housing transition planning
We coordinate with your support coordinator, SDA provider or builder so your move-in date does not slip quietly.
Safety and after-hours cover
Documented risk plans, emergency procedures and someone to call at any hour of the night.
When MTA helps
Who Medium Term Accommodation suits
MTA exists for the in-between. Participants come to us when an SDA apartment is still being built, home modifications are underway, a rental starts next month, a family carer is unwell, or a hospital discharge cannot safely go home yet.
Because clinical governance is built into our service, we can take referrals with real clinical needs — complex medication, mobility risk, pressure care, feeding support — rather than only low-needs stays. A registered nurse assesses first, then trains the workers on shift.
If you need respite rather than a bridging stay, or you are ready for a permanent home, talk to us about Supported Independent Living and in-home care instead.
How it works
Arranging an MTA placement
Most placements are confirmed within days, and urgent hospital discharges can move faster.
1. Enquiry and vacancy check
Call us with dates, location and support needs and we confirm availability across our homes.
2. Nurse assessment
A registered nurse reviews health needs, risks and equipment, including hospital discharge paperwork.
3. Funding and agreement
We quote against your MTA and Core supports and provide documentation for your planner.
4. Move in and plan the exit
You settle in with a matched team while we work backwards from your long-term move-in date.
